About the Fair Board

We are here to make this the best week of the summer for the Youth in Gratiot County.  It is our hope that all kids who want to show at the fair are able to do just that.  Kids come first and fair is a week for the KIDS!

What We Do

We plan, organize, fund, implement and evaluate a community based youth fair in collaboration with the Gratiot County 4-H program and FFA Chapters.

We provide a quality venue in Gratiot County for livestock and horse shows, 4-H meetings and programs, community events, camper rallies, and community events.

We maintain and develop grounds entrusted to us by Gratiot County to provide safe and exceptional exhibition areas and facilities. We ensure quality infrastructure on our grounds.

Our board meets at 7:00 p.m. on the first Thursday of each month at the Bill & Grace Vanderbeek Fair office at the Fairgrounds.

Fair Board Committees

In order to make our board work seemlessly we have specific committees for events, scheduling and other workings of GCFFY.  Board members are required to sit on a couple different committees during their time on the board.  However, we welcome our parents, community members and supporters to join our committees as well.  If you are interested in the committees please check out this document.  Feel free to contact the fair office at info@gcffy.org or by phone 989-466-5071 if you are interested in sitting on any of these committees and we can connect you with the chair person.

Join as a Supporter

The fair creates a budget incorporating revenue generated through program income, philanthropic giving, grants, and fundraisers to provide a quality fair, maintain and grow our facilities, pay staff, cover fees, insurance, utilities and supplies.

We are able to maintain a quality fair thanks to our supporters from our generous community.
